They will be described and photographed honestly and carefully. The description and photographs will show you everything. You are encouraged to ask any questions you'd like. This pair of genuine African Elephant ivory grips are made from legally imported ivory brought into the United States prior to the embargo of 1989. This pair comes from a tusk we recently got and to our surprise when we got inside we noticed that the color of the ivory is very rare and unique. We constantly get calls for ivory with some yellow showing and this ivory shows lots of yellow. This pair has a few beauty marks that are clearly visible in the pictures. They are natural marks found in the tusk and we think they add charcter to this pair. There are a few cracks on each side that have been sealed and mended. These grips have been made slightly oversize so they can be easily fitted down to any generation Colt SAA and most Colt clones. We have included the wood spacers to aid in the fitting process. If you would like us to install genuine Colt gold or nickel medallions we will be happy to do that for no extra charge. GENUINE IVORY COLT PYTHON SERVICE STYLE GRIPS
This pair of grips were made from legally imported African Elephant ivory. We are the exclusive providers of ivory grips for the Colt Custom Gun Shop. We have also successfully sold our grips on ebay for the last twelve years. Ebay's currant ban of ivory products has caused us to sell elsewhere, such as Gunbroker. The reason for the different price is the grips listed here may exhibit minor cosmetic deficiencies that will have no effect on strength and durability. These are a nice set of grips for the Colt Python Service Style Revolver.You can bid with confidence knowing that you are buying grips from a licensed ivory dealer. We tried these on a gun and the fit was just about perfect, and you can expect the same results on your python. These grips do have a slight crack on the left side that has been sealed and mended These grips have been fitted with gold Colt medallions, but if the winning bidder would like we can swap them to silver at no extra charge.

COLT SLIM LINE GOVERNMENT MODEL IVORY GRIPS
This pair of grips were made from legally imported fossilized Walrus ivory After a twenty year employment history working directly for Colt we are now under contract to perform ivory grip making and fitting for the Colt Custom Gun Shop. After continuing to receive requests for thin or skinny grips we decided to make some. People come in all sizes with different hand sizes. The Government model can be a real hand full. On our new grips each panel is nearly 1/8 thinner than factory specifications. With each pair we are also providing a complete set of brand new screws and bushings that are specially made to accommodate the thinner grips. These grips do have cracks on both sides. We have used a very special high strength bonding agent to seal the cracks. We guarantee that these grips will not break on the crack lines. These grips do not have medallions installed, but if the buyer would like we can install gold or silver at no extra charge. Or we can even ship you a loose pair of medallions upon request.
